Overview

ATCC, a leading nonprofit biological resources and standards organization, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in FP&A with hands on experience in budgeting and forecasting for an hybrid position (2 days onsite, 3 days remote) in Manassas, VA. Experience in financial analysis and financial modeling tools such as Anaplan or Adaptive is preferred. 

 

This role will serve as a key critical partner in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, as well as supporting business leaders across product development, commercial, and operations. The ideal candidate brings strong FP&A experience preferably in Biotech, Pharma, and/or Life Sciences, with the ability to develop models, provide insights, and influence decision-making. You will help drive visibility into business performance and support strategic planning as our company continues to grow. The Senior Financial Analyst will lead quarterly P&L variance review meetings with the business area they support, participate in the planning & budgeting processes, build and maintain financial models to support business decisions, and importantly, support process improvements and system enhancements within FP&A as well as across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Financial Planning and Analysis: Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning cycles while delivering accurate and timely financal insights.
  • Business Partnering:  Collaborate with the business consisting of product development, commercial teams and operations to align financial resources with strategic priorities. Seek cost optimization opportunities across the business areas support, while supporting revenue growth opportunities.
  • Decision Support & Reporting: Build models, analyze variances, review NPDI initiatives, create and prepare reports to be shared with the business leaders and/or budget owners that provide insights for supporting business strategy and execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years' experience, or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience in financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and support strategic decision-making required.

  • Proficiency in excel required.
  • Strong analytical skills in evaluating operating costs and investment performance required.

  • Experience in financial analysis and financial modeling tools such as Anaplan or Adaptive preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop business cases, present financial insights to senior leadership, and contribute to long-range financial planning.

  • Proven track record of process improvement and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong listening skills to communicate clearly and effectively.

Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $85,000 to $100,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program.
