The Manager, Applications will lead the enterprise applications team, with a core focus on advancing ATCC’s digital lab roadmap. This includes guiding the transition from paper-based laboratory operations to integrated, data-driven workflows by leveraging the full capabilities of L7’s Enterprise Science Platform (ESP) specifically its LIMS, MES, and ELN modules.

 

The Manager will oversee a blended team of onshore and offshore engineers, ensuring the successful delivery, support, and enhancement of all ESP-based laboratory systems. This includes oversight of configuration, integration, and continuous optimization of ESP to meet scientific, operational, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the platform lead for L7 ESP, accountable for both implementation execution and steady-state operations.
  • Drive project phases—including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, validation, deployment, and post-go-live support for ESP LIMS, MES, and ELN modules.
  • Manage and mentor a global team responsible for ESP solution delivery, enhancements, integrations, and operational support.
  • Ensure ESP integrations with laboratory instruments, enterprise systems (ERP, QMS, Data Warehouse), and third-party platforms are robust and scalable.
  • Oversee configuration and extension of the platform using Python, JavaScript, Postgres, HTML, and CSS to meet evolving scientific and operational needs.
  • Establish and enforce platform governance, change control, release management, and compliance processes.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, training materials, SOPs, and support structures to drive user adoption and audit readiness.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align the ESP roadmap with ATCC’s business, regulatory, and digital transformation goals.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of enterprise application experience, including 2+ years in a formal management or lead role.
  • Proven experience with L7 ESP platform—full lifecycle implementation and operational support across LIMS, MES, and ELN functionalities.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory and manufacturing workflows in regulated environments.
  • Hands-on proficiency in ESP configuration and supporting technologies: Python, JavaScript, Postgres, HTML, and CSS.
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership, vendor management, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and strategic planning skills.

 

Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program.
