This is a critical role responsible for planning and directing the analysis of complex business problems to be addressed through automated systems. This position involves evaluating data, defining system requirements, designing solutions, and recommending controls and protocols to enhance operational efficiency. The Senior Business Systems Analyst operates independently on high-impact initiatives, applying sound judgment and advanced analytical techniques to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement across the organization.

Responsibilities

MES Expertise & Integration

  • Hands-on experience with L7 ESP (modular LIMS/ELN/LES platform), including workflow, ontology, and template configuration.
  • Skilled in integrating LIMS with instruments, ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft D365), ELNs, and data systems via APIs or middleware.

Scientific & Regulatory Domain Knowledge

  • Familiarity with STR testing workflows and ATCC human cell line authentication services.
  • Strong understanding of GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and regulatory requirements for cell line identity verification.

Business Analysis & Documentation

  • Proven ability to translate complex lab/scientific requirements into LIMS capabilities.
  • Experienced in writing user stories, functional specifications, and SOPs with a strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodology.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Direct engagement with scientists, QA, IT, compliance, and vendors.
  • Skilled at aligning stakeholders across scientific and technical teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years' experience or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience with L7 ESP (modular LIMS/ELN/LES platform), including workflow, ontology, and template configuration.
  • Familiarity with STR testing workflows and ATCC human cell line authentication.
  • Strong understanding of GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and regulated scientific workflows.
  • Experience authoring/managing validation documentation (CSV, test scripts, protocols).
  • Proven ability to translate complex lab/scientific requirements into LIMS capabilities.
  • Skilled in writing user stories, functional specs, and SOPs.
  • Effective collaboration with scientists, QA, IT, compliance, and vendors
  • Experience integrating LIMS with instruments, ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft D365), ELNs, and data systems via APIs or middleware.

Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program.
