The Senior Process Engineer will report to the Director, Engineering Program Management, and will be part of a team of Engineers who provide engineering and technical expertise to support the entire ATCC enterprise, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and R&D Operations.  This position will primarily support warehouse, packaging, and shipping activities by analyzing existing processes and independently implementing projects to improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Implementation of Equipment and Infrastructure: Lead equipment/system commissioning and qualification efforts; including the development of project plans, management of external vendors, and facilitation of operator training.  
  • Execute Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Work with departments to identify opportunities for process improvements and helping them to map their existing processes. Lead cross-functional teams in executing a structured implementation process and monitor results to verify progress.
  • Provide Operational Support: Support teams that are dealing with equipment and infrastructure problems through troubleshooting, addressing quality events, and developing plans to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide technical expertise to support assigned cross-functional projects as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related disciplines and 5 or more years' experience or equivalent experience.
  • Background in Engineering and Operations is required.
  • Experience with identifying and implementing process improvements within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with warehouse / repository operations and product package testing in the biopharmaceutical industry is highly desirable.
  • Experience designing engineering studies and writing protocols and reports.
  • Project management experience with good communication skills and proven track record of work with and leading cross-functional teams to deliver project on schedule and budget.

Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 to $130,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program.
