Ready to shape the future of science and global health? ATCC, a leading nonprofit biological resources and standards organization, is seeking a Project Manager for a hybrid role requiring 1 day per week onsite in Manassas, VA (4 days/week remote). 

 

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead and oversee projects focused on customer experience from start to finish. This role involves managing all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery, facilitating the project team. The ideal candidate will ensure that all schedule, quality, and budget requirements are met, driving successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Project Lifecycle Management: Manage the daily activities of the project lifecycle applying organizational best practices in the development, initiation, planning, execution, control, and closing of projects. Ensure consistency throughout all phases by gathering data from end users to evaluate objectives, goals, and scope.
  • Process Implementation and Goal Achievement: Establish and implement project management processes and methodologies for goal achievement. Interface with all stakeholders, including end users, vendors, and customers, to understand the strategic objectives of the project.
  • Progress Tracking and Risk Management: Track progress of the project through milestones, budgetary guidelines, and other performance indicators. Manage the risk, issue, and change resolution processes, and work with Senior Management to take corrective action.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years' experience or equivalent experience.
  • PMP preferred. 
  • Proven experience in managing all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of project management processes and methodologies.
  • Establish and maintain project governance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to track project progress through milestones, budgetary guidelines, and performance indicators.
  • Experience in risk, issue, and change resolution processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to recommend innovative solutions.
  • Proficiency in resource allocation and daily project progress management.
  • Ability to provide guidance and oversight to project staff.
  • Familiarity with professional concepts aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Experience with Monday.com and Visio preferred.
 

Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program.
