Ready to shape the future of science and global health? ATCC, a pioneer in biomaterials manufacturing, is seeking a Biologist to work onsite in Manassas, VA, to manufacture biological materials and standards. 

This position will work under ATCC’s International Reagent Resource program to support various government contracts. You'll work under minimal guidance to produce and characterize biological cultures and derivative products, contribute to data collection and recording, and support other activities as assigned. 

• Manufacturing Operations: Manufacturing or quality control (QC) testing of biological products by following standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and other controlled documents. Maintain laboratory safety, operations, equipment, and supplies.   
• Documentation: Maintain production batch records in compliance with good laboratory practices. Contribute to revisions of SOPs and work instructions. Collect, analyze, and report data, ensuring meticulous documentation.  
• Continuous Learning and Problem-Solving: Increase knowledge of various cell lines and organisms, and handle challenges in alignment with organizational policies.

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field with 2-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent  
• Hands on laboratory experience with cell culture and aseptic technique required  
• Attention to detail  
• Ability to adhere to corporate policies and procedures
