ATCC, a pioneer in biomaterials manufacturing, is seeking a Security Specialist for an onsite role based in Manassas, VA, with occasional travel to Gaithersburg and Germantown.

  • Access Control and Facility Security: Control access to buildings and property, protect equipment, and perform security inspections, while issuing badges and managing controlled access using C-Cure 9000
  • Security Planning and Integration: Assist in the preparation, development, review, and execution of security plans, SOPs, and policies, integrating complex security systems, including closed-circuit cameras, ACS, and IDS.
  • Physical Security Management: Build and manage a physical key system, performing minor alarm technician and locksmith repairs to security systems, and conducting regular inspections.
  • Technical Support and Coordination: Escort and coordinate the work of outside advanced technicians, troubleshoot system installations, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards by escalating and documenting incidents.
  • Training and Emergency Response: Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events, emergencies, and alarms. Additionally, assist in training and supervising contract security officers, conducting employee briefings, debriefings, and in/out processing.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work full-time on-site in Manassas, VA, with flexibility to work in Gaithersburg and Germantown locations as needed.
  • Ability to offer round-the-clock support in challenging conditions such as weather storms, disaster relief efforts, and situations necessitating on-site presence.
  • Proven customer service expertise with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job.
  • Proficiency in C-Cure 9000 system administration preferred.
  • Experience escorting and troubleshooting with alarm technicians preferred.
