ATCC, a pioneer in biomaterials manufacturing, is seeking a Project Manager for a remote role based in Manassas, VA.   This role will support the Information Systems department.  Our ideal candidate will have prior project experience, preferably with infrastructure, application development, ERP/MES implementation, Digital Labs(LIMS) and/or data migration integrations projects.  Life sciences or pharmaceutical experience is preferred but not required.   


The IT Project Manager is charged with leading information technology projects through every stage, from initiation to completion. Serving as a pivotal force within the IT domain, they manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, including planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery. A strong advocate for process improvement and governance, the IT Project Manager oversees 4-6 small/medium projects or 2-3 medium/large projects simultaneously. Their meticulous approach ensures adherence to schedule, scope, quality, and budget requirements, playing a vital role in the successful execution of strategic initiatives.


      • Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee daily project activities, applying organizational best practices from ideation to closure.
      • Process Improvement: Evaluate and improve current processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency for strategic goal achievement.
      • Progress Tracking and Communication: Track project progress, milestones, and metrics, compiling status summaries for transparent communication.
      • Stakeholder Interaction and Consistency: Interface with stakeholders, gather data for consistency, evaluate project objectives and scope, and provide reporting to stakeholders.
      • Risk, Issue, and Change Management: Identify and manage risk, issue, and change resolution, collaborating with the SRO (Strategy Realization Office) and other cross functional stakeholders. 


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ experience or equivalent.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent, showcasing a solid understanding of project management best practices.
  • Agile project management or scrum master experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess project requirements, identify risks, and improve current processes.
  • Ability to align project goals with strategic organizational objectives, demonstrating a tactical mindset in project planning and execution.
  • Experience in change management, successfully navigating projects through shifts in scope, and acquiring the necessary approvals and communicating to key stakeholders.
