Overview

The Associate Inventory Control Technician is responsible for the administration of proper inventory levels throughout the production cycle of the organization’s products. They process new inventory, maintain the quality of storage, and track movement of materials, supplies and equipment. They investigate and correct inventory discrepancies and troubleshoot inventory related issues.

 

The Associate Inventory Control Technician works on assignments that are routine in nature and performs routine tasks as directed. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work under close supervision. This position requires limited judgment, has little or no role in decision-making, and acquires skills on the job.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Monitor inventory levels throughout production life cycle. Organize and maintain proper inventory levels.
  2. Perform periodic review of inventory levels, recording quantity, type, and value of materials on hand.
  3. Ensure shipment and delivery time schedules are maintained. Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies.
  4. Execute the program activity schedule to ensure compliance with established requirements; ensure the completion of all required inventory transactions in the company ERP system.
  5. Assist in resolving various matters related to delivery schedules, inventory discrepancies, charges, and movement of materials.
  6. Ensure inventory procedures and safety protocols are adhered to.
  7. Work with inventory control staff to perform periodic review of inventory stock, recording quantity, type, and value of materials on hand.
  8. Apply organizational policy in completing routine tasks.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma and 0-2 years' experience or equivalent experience.

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel may be required, as needed.

Other Duties:

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
