The Senior Manager, Corporate Communications will establish operational objectives and work plans and review objectives to determine the success of the Communications strategy. They will determine methods for executing internal and external communication strategies for the organization to ensure that unified, consistent, and positive messages define and promote the corporate identity, brand, and mission.

The Senior Manager, Corporate Communications manages the activities of those creating content and strategy and develops, modifies, and executes communication best practices and channels. They regularly advise and provide counsel to business units to ensure that strategic planning aligns with corporate organizational policies and procedures. They exercise supervision in terms of costs, methods, and staffing. They work on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.  


1. Lead and determine opportunities to promote and positively represent the organization through internal and external communication. Represent the company in a variety of settings, always promoting the company in the best possible way.
2. Oversee the development, content, and delivery method of internal and external communications
to ensure a consistent message and tone throughout the organization. Establish communication strategies, plans, materials, and presentations to increase the effectiveness and impact. Lead the direction for key documents, presentations, and talking points. Ensure they are delivered through the appropriate channels.
3. Implement new methods and creative strategies to increase internal and external awareness of key events and changes in the organization including the launch of new products, special events, local and global community service, management changes and other topics of interest.
4. Establish objectives and work plans for communications of the organization that represent the corporate identity and promotes and supports the organization’s mission.
5. Contribute to strategy and work cross-functionally to build awareness and use of the organization’s communication channels such as intranet, emails, videos, social media, blogs, podcasts, and printed materials.
6. Implement strategic policy, initiatives, and principles to enhance the material depth and relevance of the audience. Stay up to date on organizational developments and communicate within the department.
7. Build key relationships within and outside the organization to help procure news and facilitate ongoing communication within business divisions, networks and across silos. Communicate regularly with business units to ensure the messaging direction is clear. Assess any feedback for purposes of strategy implementation.
8. Manage through subordinates and oversee the workflow and work assignments of current and future communications team to ensure effective collaboration among team members and consistent, quality work.
9. Utilize annual and quarterly reports to develop strategy for improvement to present to Senior Management.
10. Establish and adhere to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 or more years' experience, including 4 or more years' supervisory experience or equivalent experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Superlative communication skills in all forms including expertise in MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent strategic organization skills.
  • Excellent managerial skills.
  • Ability to use tact and professionalism including in times of extreme stress.
  • Ability to think creatively.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to difficult questions and issues.
  • Ability to create, implement, and apply a budget.
