    Founded in 1925, ATCC is a non-profit organization with a mission to acquire, authenticate, preserve, develop, standardize, and distribute biological materials and information for the advancement and application of scientific knowledge.  

    The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting project and program teams in the coordination, implementation, execution, and completion of specific projects and initiatives ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. A project coordinator understands the scope and expectations of assigned projects and has responsibilities and accountabilities related to those projects. The project coordinator will serve as a point person for assigned projects and will manage relationships internally and externally with project stakeholders. The position actively supports and complies with all ATCC corporate policies and procedures.



    1. Responsible for organizing and coordinating on-going Web projects.
    2. Responsible for updating support material and online content such as website manuals, SDLC documentation, content and landing pages.
    3. The project coordinator will act as a gatekeeper for web projects and serve as a point of contact between internal and external stakeholders and the Web team.
    4. Responsible for web data, content, and assists with quality assurance and user acceptance testing of websites.
    5. Supports project and program teams in the coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects and initiatives.
    6. Develops and maintains detailed project schedules.Coordinates and participates in Team Meetings.
    7. Responsible for filing all project documents.
    8. Responsible for tracking project changes as agreed on with management.
    9. Understands complex process flows in ATCC business environment. 
    10. Translates ATCC Government Contracts business needs into analytic requirements and associated projects. 
    11. Serves as a member of matrixed project teams to meet the scope, goals and needs of the projects within a determined budget. 
    12. Serves as a liaison to ATCC functional departments, contractors, clients, and others for relaying requirements for design, maintenance and enhancements of ATCC processes. 
    13. Develops and uses strong skills in the use of ATCC’s ERP systems, Web Systems, Quality Documentation Systems and Project Management applications for the management of Government Contracts. 
    14. Performs other ancillary duties as assigned.



    Education and Experience:

    • A bachelor’s degree in a science, business or related field is required. 
    • A PMP certification can be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree. 
    • 3-5 years of experience with process analysis, projects, and/or financial analysis is required. 
    • Prior experience in project teams is a plus.

     Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Ability to communicate, organize, and prioritize incoming requests for changes, corrections, and additions, to projects or scheduled.
    • Working knowledge of the World Wide Web, basic Web site terminology and Web site usage required.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Knowledge of HTML, Section 508 Accessibility compliance, e-commerce websites, or Web content is a plus.
    • Organization and developmental skills.
    • Ability to understand process flows and operational systems to meet the defined requirements of the business.
