    Founded in 1925, ATCC is a non-profit organization with a mission to acquire, authenticate, preserve, develop, standardize, and distribute biological materials and information for the advancement and application of scientific knowledge.  

    The Senior Manager, Marketing will develop marketing strategy and lead all marketing functions, and drive tactical implementation of the marketing plan across the entire ATCC product and services portfolio. Must be a dynamic leader with the ability to set the vision and direction for the marketing team aligned with the corporate goals and managed to achieve the revenue objectives of the organization. 


    This position must work and think independently; duties of this position are to be completed under minimal guidance. Discretion in handling assigned responsibilities, including the ability to resolve problems and exercise good judgment while maintaining confidentiality.  Functions are to be completed in a timely manner with acceptable quality.


    1. Develops the vision and strategy for ATCC marketing.
    2. Responsible for key revenue and growth targets, KPI development and measurement, and tracks the effectiveness and ROI of various marketing campaigns.
    3. Leads the business unit marketing managers, MarCom, content and digital marketing teams.       Responsible for market research, and supports corporate communications functions.
    4. Establishes strong internal (Customer Care, Sales, Business Development, Business Units, etc.) and external (distributors, vendors, etc.) relationships that create a collaborative approach to driving the marketing effort and business expansion.
    5. Develops, Manages and executes the direct marketing platforms and campaigns (social media, email. Webinars, direct mail, conferences, etc.) employing industry best practices.
    6. Plays a key role in developing and managing the analytics necessary to monitor and improve the effectiveness of both the marketing Management and MarCom team’s performance and overall marketing impact.
    7. Collaborates with Product Line Business Management and Sales to provide specific inputs on pricing, channels to market and customer needs.
    8. Provides Management, R&D, and Business Units with regular updates on product trends, market changes, and competition/industry developments to assist in maintaining business unit strategic plans.
    9. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws; has authority either directly or through recommendations for employment decisions to include selection, training, performance evaluations, counseling, promotions and terminations.
    10. Develops and maintains budgets while ensuring cost saving measures.
    11. Performs other ancillary functions, as assigned.


    Education & Experience: 

    • Bachelor’ degree in Business, Marketing or life science.
    • Minimum of twelve (12) years’ experience in marketing within the life science industry, with a minimum of five (5) years’ successful supervisory experience.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including excellent listening skills and presentation skills to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively.
    • Position-relevant computer experience including Microsoft Office, CRM and project management.
    • Follow all company safety practices, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and policies.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • MBA or relevant advanced degree.
    • Experience with graphic design programs, PIM, and web coding / design.
    • Knowledge of the Cell Biology, Microbiology and research reagent markets.
