    Founded in 1925, ATCC is a non-profit organization with a mission to acquire, authenticate, preserve, develop, standardize, and distribute biological materials and information for the advancement and application of scientific knowledge. 

    The Associate Systems Analyst is responsible for the analysis of process flows and the design and development of application systems.  The incumbent actively supports and complies with all ATCC corporate policies and procedures.


    1. Create FDD for the developer to reference 
    2. Create UAT scripts for the end users to use for testing new functionality
    3. Adhere to established System Development Life Cycle and Computer Systems Validation Policy and Procedures when implementing system changes.
    4. Analyzes process flows in ATCC business environment.   
    5. Designs and develops application systems in ATCC client-server environment.
    6. Manages application projects and/or project teams.
    7. Ensures compliance with standard software development practices.
    8. Develops training materials and train ATCC staff in use of application systems.
    9. Interacts with vendors and consultants for implementation and upgrade of systems.
    10. Contributes to technical publications and grant/contract proposals.
    11. Performs other ancillary duties as assigned.  


    Education and Experience:

    • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Operations Research or related field is required.
    • Applicable experience may substitute for a formal degree.  
    • An additional 0-3 years of experience with process analysis, application development, and application environments (i.e. programming languages, databases, operating systems, hardware, and telecommunications) is required.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Can analyze process flows in a business environment.
    • Can design and develop application systems in a client-server environment.
    • Can manage application projects and/or project teams.
    • Experience with Dynamics AX 2012 R3 and VSTS application is desired but not required.
    • Experience with waterfall, agile and iterative methodologies desired but not required.
    • Experience analyzing business requirements and design specifications to develop test plans and test scripts desired but not required. 
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
