Founded in 1925, ATCC is a non-profit organization with a mission to acquire, authenticate, preserve, develop, standardize, and distribute biological materials and information for the advancement and application of scientific knowledge.
The Director of Data Management and Analytics will lead an emerging organization and set of capabilities within ATCC. In this role, you will be a key player in the design, development and support of all data related project activities including the SQL Server Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and our Reltio Master Data Management (MDM) platform. This role works side-by-side with key business stakeholders, developers, analysts, architects, and testing resources to ensure the finished product meets acceptance criteria for each feature. The Director of Data Management and Analytics provides direction to a technical team of employees and consultants using experience and insight and shapes the delivery of EDW and MDM capabilities.
This role reports directly to the Chief Information Technology Officer and works with management at all levels in the organization. The Director of Data Management and Analytics role demands a very high degree of experience, technical skills, independence, flexibility, creativity, sound judgment, and reliability. The performance of, and the decisions made by, the successful candidate greatly affect performance and availability of data across the enterprise and ability of leadership to make informed decisions.
This senior management position must work and think independently. Duties of this position are to be completed under minimal guidance. Discretion in handling assigned responsibilities, including the ability to resolve problems and exercise good judgment while maintaining confidentiality. Functions are to be completed in a timely manner with acceptable quality.
Education and Experience:
Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and at least 15 years of experience in the field.
