Founded in 1925, ATCC is a non-profit organization with a mission to acquire, authenticate, preserve, develop, standardize, and distribute biological materials and information for the advancement and application of scientific knowledge.
The Sr. Biologist participates in research projects involved in the development of new microbiology products and assays, and performs a variety of microbiology laboratory procedures requiring accuracy, judgment and technical proficiency under minimal supervision. Duties include microbial culture, planning and executing experiments, observing carefully and maintaining accurate record, and participating in data analysis and report preparation. The incumbent will work with cross-functional product development teams to create product design specs and will interact with various functional groups regarding tech transfer and QC of products. The individual may be responsible for other R&D activities including development of new and/or improved molecular biology/microbiology products and other projects consistent with the goals and objectives of ATCC. The incumbent supports and complies with all ATCC corporate policies and procedures
