Founded in 1925, ATCC is a non-profit organization with a mission to acquire, authenticate, preserve, develop, standardize, and distribute biological materials and information for the advancement and application of scientific knowledge.
The Biologist performs a variety of laboratory procedures requiring accuracy, judgment and technical proficiency under minimal supervision. The incumbent complies with all ATCC corporate policies and procedures.
This position supports the ATCC and BEI Resources malaria laboratory and the incumbent will be responsible for growth and characterization of malaria parasites (Plasmodium falciparum), a blood-borne pathogen. Candidates with prior experience in similar in vitro culture systems and molecular methods are highly preferred.
