Overview

Founded in 1925, ATCC is a non-profit organization with a mission to acquire, authenticate, preserve, develop, standardize, and distribute biological materials and information for the advancement and application of scientific knowledge. 


The Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for the analysis of multiple, complex process flows and the design and development of multiple, complex application systems. The incumbent actively supports and complies with all ATCC corporate policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  1. Provides guidance to Systems Analyst analyzing multiple, complex process flows in ATCC business environment.
  2. Applies business knowledge (example HR or Finance processes) in assisting business unit staff in describing their business processes.
  3. Performs complex systems design independently, assists other systems analyst in translating systems designs to working systems. 
  4. Manages multiple, complex application projects and/or project teams. 
  5. Provides project management oversight to cross-functional IT projects. 
  6. Under the direction of assigned IT staff, documents complex business process flows in ATCC business environment. 
  7. Under the direction of assigned IT staff, translates complex business process flows into system requirement documents. 
  8. Participates in the design and development of business systems following ATCC established design processes
  9. Provides oversight to vendors developing systems at the ATCC. 
  10. Designs and develops application systems in ATCC client-server environment. 
  11. Ensures compliance with standard software development practices.
  12. Develops training materials and train ATCC staff in use of application systems. 
  13. Interacts with vendors and consultants for implementation and upgrade of systems. 
  14. Contributes to technical publications and grant/contract proposals.
  15. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  16. Has authority either directly or through recommendations for employment decisions to include selection, training, performance evaluations, counseling, promotions and terminations. 
  17. Performs other ancillary duties, as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

 

B.S. in Computer Science, Operations Research, or equivalent experience in related field is required. Must have an additional 5-7 years of experience with process analysis, application development, and required application environments (i.e. programming languages, databases, operating systems, hardware, and telecommunications). Minimum of 1 year prior supervisory experience required.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3
  • Implementation of AX 2012 R3 or previous version
  • Experience working with users, collecting requirements, working with developers, DBAs and functional users
  • Trouble shooting and integrations with external web sites using web services experience would be great.
  • Modules: Sales and Marketing, Trade and logistics, Retail, Inventory management, Production orders, procurements, MRP, Warehousing ,  Advance warehousing, shipping, transportation management, reporting. 
  •  Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
